Santana is the debut studio album by the San Francisco rock group Santana released in 1969. It is a release of largely instrumental music, recorded by what was originally a purely free-form jam band. At the suggestion of manager Bill Graham, the band took to writing more conventional songs for more impact, but managed to retain the essence of improvisation in the music.
The album was destined to be a major release, given a headstart by the band's seminal performance at the Woodstock Festival earlier that August. Although "Jingo" failed to create much interest when released as a single, "Evil Ways", the second single taken from the album, was a U.S. Top 10 hit. The album peaked at #4 on the Billboard 200 pop album chart.

There’s an interesting comment from Doc_smiley:
“”Mr. Peckaham aka Porky is a master at his craft. His cutting on this 1975 reissue is amazing…and vastly superior to that of any release of Aqualung. Sonically speaking, it even surpasses the original 1971 UK press on Island. Look for “A Porky Prime Cut” engraved within the dead wax area.””

Larks’ Tongues in Aspic is the fifth studio album by the English progressive rock group King Crimson, originally released in 1973.
This album is the debut of King Crimson’s third incarnation, featuring original member and guitarist Robert Fripp and new members John Wetton (vocals, bass guitar), David Cross (violin, Mellotron), Jamie Muir (percussion), and Bill Bruford (drums). Bruford had just left Yes before they embarked on their Close to the Edge tour. Bruford felt that he had done all he could with Yes at that point, and thought the more jazz-oriented King Crimson would be a more expansive outlet.

Bitches Brew is a studio double album by jazz musician Miles Davis, released in April 1970 on Columbia Records. The album continued his experimentation with electric instruments previously featured on his critically acclaimed In a Silent Way album. With the use of these instruments, such as the electric piano and guitar, Davis rejected traditional jazz rhythms in favor of a looser, rock-influenced improvisational style. (Wiki)
